The Music Of The Beatles
September 12th 2007 22:08
I've been going back and forth about tackling the effect of the Beatles on the world's culture, vintage and otherwise. Sheesh, that would have to be about a ten piece series, at least.
But, there's a new movie coming out, Across The Universe, and just watching the trailer did something for me where you used to have to ingest something for the same effect. And that's all I have to say about that - I'm a Gram now and there's are talks with my Grandsons ahead....
Anyway, here's the trailer, and it looks good....You Tube

Thanks for stopping by. My perspective on the group in the beginning had more to do with slumber parties with girlfriends, and important discussions about which Beatle we liked best
Later, as we grew older, and the band experimented with music, combined with the times (the war, and more), things got more serious.
Before reading your comment, I just hadn't thought about how many garage or basement bands started because of the Beatles. James, I just have to think that meant a lot of good times for a lot of people.
Thanks for the smile at that thought.

Thax for stopping by.
After I saw the trailer I saw the cast perform on Good Morning America.
Here's a link from Youtube. Loved the way they performed the songs.
I think I'll let the moths out of my wallet (which is rare) and actually pay to see this in the theater.
Best,
Theresa
